UNWTO expresses support for Japan

The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has extended their support to Japan as it faces the aftermath of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
According to a report in Travel Daily Asia, the 23rd Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for South Asia and the UNWTO Commission for East Asia and the Pacific adopted a special resolution on Japan, expressing support to, and solidarity with, the government of Japan and the Japanese people as a whole. The resolution assured support to Japan s tourism industry as it takes the necessary steps to recovery.
