V. General Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries monopoly and patent infringement

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.) For GE (General Electric Co.) Filed an antitrust and patent infringement suit against General Electric attempts to monopolize the U.S. market for variable speed wind generator, and a major patent infringement of the company.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to seek hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation, the claim amount or even more than one billion U.S. dollars.

The lawsuit is the two companies in the wind turbine business, the latest fighting. This year in February, General Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries filed a patent infringement lawsuit; after 1 month, the U.S. International Trade Commission (US International Trade Commission, referred to as ITC) finds that Mitsubishi did not violate the General Electric generator patents. The ITC administrative law judge after a ruling of patent infringement happens.

General Electric has not yet comment.
