Cross-strait air links exempted from business tax

Ministry of Finance, State Administration of Taxation recently issued a notice that, since June 25, 2009, the airlines in the Taiwan Strait direct air transport business in the mainland to obtain income, exempt from sales tax.

Taiwan's airlines in June 25, 2009 until the date of the text to be exempt from paying business tax, business tax from the tax payable after the credits to offset the year-ending in 2010 shall be refunded.

Since June 25, 2009, the airlines in the Taiwan Strait direct air service from the mainland made the income exempted from income tax. Taiwan's airlines in June 25, 2009 until the date of the text to be exempt from paying corporate income tax, be refunded in 2010.
