Recently, China's largest container shipping company China Shipping Container Deputy General Manager's Office Xie Jia said that the end of 2012, CSCL will have 16 new vessels delivered, adding capacity to 146,800 TEU, of which this year added 90,000 TEU around the ship increase will enhance the company's competitiveness in the EU line.
The company a total fleet size of about 50 million TEU, which is owned 56% of capacity, 44% are leased capacity. Currently 16 orders in hand, a total of 146,800 TEU, including eight 4250TEU Panamax vessels and eight 14,100 TEU mega container ships will be delivered all completed before the end of 2012. After delivery of these ships, without considering the impact of the case out of old ships, the company will increase capacity to 646,800 TEU.
Xie Jia said that the end of 2012, the company has expired old ships, but whether the renewal has not been set, it can not determine the current situation of old shipping power out, while other new ships during this period did not identify purchase plans.
Xie Jia analysis, the ship has entered the era of container shipping, ship transport to reduce transport costs, therefore, delivery of these new vessels will enhance the company's competitiveness in the EU line.
Japan and South Korea and other developed countries and regions have entered the period of steady growth, while emerging countries are showing rapid growth, in order to better grasp the market, CSCL is gradually strengthening of South America, Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe and other emerging countries, capacity running. The next two to three years, these markets will gradually thickening density routes, new sources of growth into profit.
