China's oil giants are making money off more than just petrol, at their gas stations across the country. They're expanding their businesses with onsite convenience stores that offer everything from beauty products, to liquor. Of China's 18 thousand gas stations, more than 10 thousand are equipped with convenience stores. Some also offer restaurants and other auto services. The convenience stores offer all your basic needs, from drinks and food, to toiletries and cigarettes. And they're continuing to expand as Chinese consumers become more demanding.

One industry insider said "Our store covers all the types of goods that are sold in supermarkets. With Chinese consumers becoming more demanding, we even sell imported food, and provide flower delivery services." Consumers who have filled up their cars, can also fill up their grocery baskets. There's even red wine, and Maotai Liquor. Data shows that the revenue from China's non-oil business has risen rapidly in recent years. Sinopec's non-oil business has jumped from 3 billion yuan in 2009, to more than 4.5 billion yuan in 2010.
