Moshan Hill is a 118 metres high hill, located in the south-east side of East Lake. It is surrounded by the lake from the east, west and north, with fragments of the old Chu Castle at the shore. The hill has six peaks and it is a landmark for the Chu culture. Here you find the Chu Castle, Chu Bazaar, Chu Heaven Platform, and Chu Talents Park which represents the flavour and classic beauty of this culture.
The imposing Chutian Tower at the hill side symbolizes the power and prosperity of the ancient State of Chu. An altar where the Chu´s worshiped heaven, according to the legend of Zhaolie, King of the Chu State, is also there.
