Write: Primavera [2011-05-20]
The Japanese government has relaxed the rules of origin under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) on exports of knitwear from Bangladesh.
As of April 1, 2011, the rules of origin have been relaxed from three stages to two stages viz, 1) Knitting and Dyeing and 2) Sewing for knitwear products to avail benefits under GSP.
This has been done considering a request from the Bangladeshi government, said a statement from the Japanese government.
