Xinhua 08.com officially launched its Malaysia Channel here on Tuesday, making it a new platform to provide timely financial information on Malaysia and the whole ASEAN members for Chinese investors.
The new channel is co-developed by China's state media Xinhua News Agency and Malaysia's leading banker Maybank.

On the opening ceremony, Najib expressed his thankfulness to Xinhua for establishing this special channel for Malaysia, adding that he hoped the new channel would help Malaysia to forge stronger ties with China and make Malaysia a gateway for ASEAN countries to enter Chinese market.
As one of the world's leading newswire, Xinhua's reports on Malaysia's economic and financial sectors will also give global investors a better understanding of Malaysia's investment environment, he said.
The Malaysia Channel is a fruit of a strategic partnership agreement jointly signed by Xinhua and Maybank at Xinhua's Headquarters in Beijing on Feb. 23, 2011. The two sides have agreed on conducting a series of cooperation in financial information exchanges.
Xinhua 08 is a comprehensive financial information service system solely developed by Xinhua News Agency.
