U.S.-funded enterprises in China are no longer worried about a possible double-dip recession for the Chinese economy, and 83 percent of respondents will increase business investments in China in 2011, according to the "2011 Business Environment Survey" published in Beijing on March 22.
The survey, released by American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham-China), shows that most U.S.-funded enterprises have full confidence in China.
The survey interviewed a total of 432 members of AmCham-China. Ted Dean, president of AmCham-China, said the current business environment survey clearly shows that multinational corporations are more confident about opportunities in China.
Dean also said that most U.S.-funded enterprises in China are doing very well and have taken the lead in achieving growth in the Chinese market while the global economy has not yet been restored. U.S.-funded enterprises in China look forward to the development of the Chinese economy.
According to sources, the financial situation of U.S.-funded enterprises in China was at an all-time high in 2010 and 78 percent of respondents recorded profits. The U.S.-funded enterprises that have been operating in China the longest achieved the highest profits.
