The proven reserve of China's second-largest oil field, Shengli Oilfield, in eastern Shandong province, has risen by 515 million tons in the past five years, the company said in a statement Monday.
The company attributed the discovery of 200 million tons of oil to the use of new technologies. The field should have an accumulated proven oil reserve of 6 billion tons by 2024.
