New president at Shanghai GM

Shanghai GM, the joint venture between SAIC Motor Corp and General Motors Co, announced on Feb 23 that SAIC vice-president Ye Yongming has been named president of the joint venture.
His predecessor Ding Lei left for a post at the Shanghai Zhangjiang (Group) Co Ltd.
The 47-year-old Ye has extensive auto industry experience, especially in sales. He also contributed to the development of SAIC's service and trade business by helping the establishment of Shanghai Onstar Telematics Service Co and Shanghai Chengxin Used Car Operation and Management Co.
