Last year, Forbes listed Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, and Chongqing Municipality as the top two of the world's 19 fastest growing cities in the next 10 years.Chongqing's traditional manufacturing industries -- motorcycles, machinery and chemicals -- are upgrading, like Qiutian Gear, to produce high end and high quality products.Meanwhile, Mayor Huang Qifan says, the city will become a global laptop production base with a production capacity of 100 million laptops and China's largest data development center.However, Chongqing is also planning a comprehensive social and economic transformation, aiming to raise living standards and close income gaps.
