The Ministry of Commerce said on Tuesday it is encouraging foreign retailers to explore opportunities in the nation because of the potential Chinese consumer market and strong policy support.
The ministry said China has a total import amount of $ 1.4 trillion in 2010, and consumption goods accounted for less than 4 percent.
It added it has stopped all the quota management and has given the developing economies tax-exempt preference.
