China has fined 19 Carrefour SA and Wal-Mart Stores Inc supermarkets a total of 9.5 million yuan ($1.44 million) for misleading pricing, according to a statement on the website of the National Development and Reform Commission on Tuesday.
Each of the stores in 10 provinces were fined up to 500,000 yuan, and the money will be used as local finance income, the statement said.
