Construction of motor city kicks off in Liuzhou

The construction of Liuzhou Motor City, which will be capable of producing 1 million cars annually, began on Feb. 16, 2011.
Liuzhou Motor City will be located in Liudong New District, and has a planned area of 203 square kilometers.
According to the plan, it is made up of eight functional areas with different specialties, such as manufacturing, logistics and exhibition.
By 2015, Liuzhou Motor City will be able to produce 1 million cars annually, realizing GDP of 60 billion yuan and industrial output value of 15 billion yuan. It will be developed into a new city accommodating 250,000 people.
By 2020, it will realize GDP of 120 billion yuan and industrial output value of 250 billion yuan. At that time, the city is planned to become home to 5 million people.
