Chery sets 800,000 unit sales target

Chery Automobile Co recently released its 2011 target to increase global sales by 17 percent to 800,000 units.
This year the company plans to launch five new models including its high-end car, the Riich G6.
Its pure-electric car with a self-developed battery and a plug-in hybrid vehicle with extended range will also go on sale this year, the company said.
Last year Chery sold 682,000 cars, retaining the sales crown among domestic brands, a rank it has now held for 10 consecutive years.
