A kind of man made Suede leather called “Kelong leather” launched in Xiamen city, Fujian province. The “Kelong leather” has feature of nature leather in hand feel, appearance and breathing, but such leather price is only half of nature leather.
The “Kelong leather” invented by China Leather And Footwear Research Institute, and Shanxi University Of Science And Technology and Xiamen Micro-Faber Material Co., Assessment panel consisted of national senior of leather experts came to Xiamen for making evaluation of the “kelong leather”.
The experts highly appraised the invention, and said this kind of leather has the superior properties of vapor permeability, nature feeling and appearance that almost match to nature leather and the unique material to replace nature leather. Production of “kelong leather” is free from solvent and water pollution. The production costs only account for half of nature leather processing.
The inventors said the technology is applying National Science and Technology Achievement Award and starting to the industrial production.
