Shihezi, Xinjiang was entitled as "China Cotton Textile Town" by China National Textile & Apparel Council and listed as one of the textile industry clusters. The ceremony was held in Sept. 13th in Shihezi.
Shihezi is one of the most important quality cotton production base in Xinjiang. Its fine cotton, staple cotton and color cotton output is about 350,000 ton per year. With the development of west regions, this city chose textile industry as its advantageous industry to support. Some known textile companies like Zhejiang Xiongfeng, Jiangsu Huafang, Jiangsu Huafu and some foreign investors have set up their production factories here. There were about 1.5 million spindles, with 21,000 rings and 800 looms. With the entry of Shandong Ruyi Group, Shihezi has become one of the best cotton textile base in west regions.
