On the next five years where is a new growing point for Chinese footwear market? And how can we maintain the sustainable growth in internal market? CLIA president Zhang Shuhua outlined a prospect on her report made on current annual conference in Shanghai.


Zhang is full of confidence on expansion of domestic market, and she said there are three reasons to maintain stable growth on sales of footwear in internal market, first is urbanization and improvement of living standards in rural area, second is increasing demand for high-end products in the big cities, third is current online sales of footwear has brought huge profits and great potential market for China footwear sector.


For the international market Zhang pointed out that future market still depends on exportation, but shall update the product quality and diversify market, this is because there are a little room for further growth in the traditional markets in EU and America. Zhang urged the footwear companies to make more efforts on expansion of emerging markets in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa. Zhang suggested if possible Chinese shoemakers are better to establish factory or move production to overseas that can achieve more profits from foreign markets as well as to popularize their own brand. This is also best solution to increase the competitiveness on overseas market.
