Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) made an announcement to verify pollution control on tanning sector on July 16, 2010.
The campaign of environmental verification launched by Ministry of Environmental Protection in tanning sector is aiming to implement the Circular on Strengthening the Work of Heavy Metal Pollution Control Guidance, and tanneries met the environmental standards will be announced publicly.
In according with the announcement the tanneries are required to solve remained issues before applying for verification, CLIA is authorized to conduct the verification. Tanneries failed to submit the verified documents and can’t meet the environmental standards will receive strict supervision from MEP.
