In Guangzhou International Textile Trade Center, 2010 China's university students fashion week kicked off on 21st, May.
This fashion week started five years ago. 35 universities in Guangdong Province and 120 universities outside Guangdong have participated in this event since then. Moreover, over 200 enterprises attended this fashion week.
Guangdong Province is a very important garments-producing base in China with more than 30,000 middle or large sized garment enterprises. Suppose that every enterprise needs 5 designers, 150,000 designers are needed in all, which indicates a large demand for designers in Guangdong Province. The fashion week exactly works as the bridge between students and enterprises. Through this platform, students show their talent and enterprises search for their prospective designers.
