Chinese International Fashion Week is 13 years-old to this year.How about other Asian country's fashion week? Japan Fashion Week is 5 yeras-old, India Fashion Week is 7 years-old, Seoul Fashion Week is 10 years-old. Asian Fashion Week are all quite young. Of course, Tokyo Fashion Week has been 20 years before it turns out to be Japan Fashion Week.

From Beijing and Shanghai Fashion Week, we can feel the communication among Asian Fashion Circle has become much more closer than before.

"Asian Fashion Blooming2010" was held in Shanghai during May13-16. More than 17 designers from 6 countries and areas India, Japan, Korea, mainland China, Taiwan and Shanghai have displayed their fresh works.This is a heavy gift to Shanghai Expo by Shanghai International Garment Festival and Shanghai Fashion Week.

This is not the first official cooperation between China and other countries.In November of 2006, 'Asian Day' and "Russian Day" have been set up at China International Fashion Week.

Comparied with European Fashion Week, Asian Fashion Week is quite young. Last year, London Fashion Week celebrated its 25 aniversary.

Commercialization of Fashion Week

No commercialization, no Fashion Week.

On the 10th Japan Fashion Week, there are 50 old brands and 12 new brands attended, but there are only 62 buyers.

On the 20th Seoul Fashion Week is big in size. Therer are 57 designers attended. Buyers from overseas have reached 92. Much more than before.

On the 15 India Fashion Week, there are 130 designers attended. No buyers number is available.

How shall Chinese Fashion Week move on?

At present, there is seldom buyers attended Chinese Fashion Week. It is a fact.Buyer is a new profession in China.Some designers and experts think that Chinese Fashion Week shall put emphasis on commercilization and introduce more overseas brands.(Anny)
