China Fashion Week opens today and run until Nov 10, with almost 70 fashion events happening in Beijing.
It will showcase the 2010 spring and summer collections of local and international fashion designers, and also host seminars and competitions.
Though only a decade old, China Fashion Week has successfully pushed local designers onto the world stage, including Zhang Zhaoda, Liang Zi, Guo Pei, Qi Gang and Zeng Fengfei. It also provides a platform for young students to show their talent. More men's fashion shows are being held this year, and there are designers coming from Taiwan to hold shows.
