China Fashion Week A/W 2009-2010 Opening Ceremony will be held in Beijing from March 24 to March 30. About 40 events will be held in D•PARK Beijing House and Beijing Hotel.
More than 500 fashion models will bring us about 20-fashion brands and designers' new fashion to the public. Also2 fashion design contests and winner designer fashion show, 4 excellent graduates fashion shows, 16 press conferences, salon forum, musical party and seminar lecture will be held during China Fashion Week.
Since China Fashion Week has found from 1997, it has successfully held over 480 fashion and brand collections, 60 professional contests and China Fashion Award Ceremony for 12 times. Fashion Collection—Famous Brands and Fashion Designers' New Collection
Although influenced by economic crisis, series measures and plans have put out for rejuvenating national economy, and especially 1.3 billions of consumers in China have been supporter the strong market. Many famous designers and brands will still choose China Fashion Week to hold their fashion collection.

Professional Contest---Famous Brand Titled Fashion Design Contest
Professional contest, which is held by China Fashion Association and China Fashion Week Organizing Committee together, has been the focus to the fashion industry and the society. In this fashion week, almost 200 new fashion talents will participate in 2 professional contests and graduate fashion shows.
Hempel Award the 17th China Young Fashion Designers Contest organized by China Fashion Association and Hempel International Group will be held on March 24, 2009 for the Opening Ceremony of China Fashion Week, and 31 fashion designers from 18 countries will show their best collections to the public with theme of "National Day Reception". On March 26, 24 designers from 15 cities will participate in the WSM China Knitted Fashion Design Contest organized by China Fashion Association and WSM Fashion Co., Ltd.
Influenced by China Fashion Week and "Bemberg" fabric of Asahi KASEI Corporation, AsahiKASEI Chinese Innovative Fashion Design Contest Liu Yong Fashion Collection will be held during China Fashion Week.
More and more fashion institutes choose China Fashion Week as a platform to exhibit teaching fruit, and promote teaching and practice. In the meanwhile, it has been the exchange platform for the fashion institutes to recommend excellent graduates. Academy of Art and Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology, Fashion School, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and Central Academy of Fine Arts will hold excellent graduates fashion show 2009 during China Fashion Week.

Professional Evaluation---Famous Designer and Institutes Annual Rank
Experienced through unusual 2008, annual China top ten fashion designers ranking (FD index) and annual China high institutes design ranking (FE index) again come to Fashion China magazine. As the reference index for famous fashion designers evaluation, FD index in 2008 shows that continuously changing fashion makes design strength polarization and recombination. In this instantaneous changed fashion industry, each fashion designer should do hard work to keep up with fashion trends and pay more hard strive for it. Hard work maybe no reward, but no hard work must not reward. Red Queen Principle proves that again.
FE index evidenced by annual China Fashion Design "New Fashion Designer Award" evaluated fashion institutes. In recent years, many fashion institutes have series reform on major setting and teaching to catch up with the development of the market, and that is why FE index ranking goes up in the whole. But to be worth, unreasonable major setting and teaching problem still exist in fashion institutes. What fashion institutes should especially do is facing the disadvantages of economic crisis and focusing on global development to open high quality and practical class.
