Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Museum

Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Museum lies along the bank of the Jialing River, which comprises Red Cliff Village 13, Zengjia Cliff 50, Guiyuan Garden, and the former site of  "Xinhua Daily".  The place used to be the southern bases for CPC Central Committee during the anti-Japanese war. Because of their outstanding performance in the war, people established the museum to commemorate them.

Red Cliff Village 13 was mainly a three-floor building built by the official staffs of the South Bureau and the Eighth Route Army at that time. It functioned as accommodation and office for Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other leaders. The most important fact was that the Red Cliff Village used to be a world famous political center of CPC Central Committee during the war. So that museum displays many revolutionary relics used by official leaders.
