Lajia Temple

Lajia temple belongs to The Gelug Sect of Chinese Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on the bank of the Yellow River in a valley. The area where thetemple is located has a humid weather.

Lajia temple is the most famous of its kind around here. Legend has it that builders found a milu deer the first day they began to build this temple here. Hence the name Lajia, which means Milu in Tibetan language.

This temple has features both from Tibetan Buddhism and Han Buddhism and the buildings come in clusters like ancient horticulture gardens. Surrounded by water and mountains, this landscape is exceptionally beautiful.
