China Resources Power Donated Power Generation Units to Disaster Area in Yushu of Qinghai Province

On 29 September, hosted by National Energy Bureau and Qinghai Provincial Government, and co-hosted by China Resources (Holdings) Company Limited ( CRC ), the operation ceremony of oil-fired power generation unit for the urban reconstruction project was held at Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Mr.

Qian Zhimin (Deputy Director of National Energy Bureau), Mr. He Ting (Vice Governor of Qinghai Province), Mr. Wang Yuhu (Head of Yushu Prefecture in Qinghai Province) and the senior exectutives of CRC, including Mr. Song Lin, Mr. Qiao Shibo, Mr. Wang Shuai Ting and Mr. Li Xiaofen, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Mr. Song, on behalf of CRC, extended the congratulations on the start-up and operation of emergency power station in Yushu. And he added that CRC would continue to fulfill the social responsibilities with gratitude by practical actions in hold of our consistent mission of making returns,contributions and benefits to the society .

The ten 3MW oil-fired units, worth about 30 million yuan, are donated by China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited (a subsidiary of CRC) in May 2010. As of 12 September 2010, all units have commenced commercial operation. CRC has overcome the disadvantages of time tightness, heavy task, difficulties in all aspects, and other unfavorable factors to accomplish the project ahead of schedule.

Full operation of the project has effectively eased power shortage in the disaster area, ensured normal power consumption in the transitional period as well as providing power protection for the urban reconstruction.
