In the morning of June 24, 2008, CNR CRH3 Hexie EMU broke Chinese train speed record, clocking 394.3 kilometers per hour during a test run on Beijing-Tianjin passenger dedicated line. It only takes 25 minutes and 10 second in 118.296 kilometers line. The high speed train, CRH3 Hexie , is made by CNR Tangshan Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd.
