China s independently developed 3.6MW offshore wind turbines successfully rolled off the production line

China's independently developed 3.6MW offshore wind turbinessuccessfully rolled off the production line on the port heavy equipment base of Shanghai Electric on July 1.
The successful research and development of this offshore wind turbines means that Shanghai Electric has already have domestic leading machine design capabilities, including blades, control systems, towers and other key components. Shanghai Electric can independently carry out the research and development of offshore wind turbines and provide users with optimized design and personalized service under certain wind and weather conditions.
3.6MW large offshore wind turbines produced by Shanghai Electric are internationally and domestically advanced. A single 3.6MW offshore wind turbine can generate 9 million kWh each year, saving about 3,150 tons of standard coal with zero emission. Xu Jianguo, Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, Huang Dinan, President of Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. Zheng Jianhua, President of Power Group of Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. and Zhu Bin, Chief Operating Officer of Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. attended the rollout ceremony, which hosted by Zheng Jianhua.
The 3.6MW large offshore wind turbines which successfully rolled off the production line do not only mark Shanghai Electric s capability of independently research and development of advanced world level large-scale onshore and offshore wind turbines by digesting imported technology and independent development, but also can play a much more important role in upgrading the wind turbine industry and expanding the market.
