Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Sign Cooperation Agreements in Changsha

The first directors' conference of the 5th Committee of the Hunan Overseas Friendship Association (HOFA) & the Cooperation Project Signing Ceremony was held in Changsha on Dec.3. The meeting gathered more than 100 overseas Chinese entrepreneurs from America, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Zhou Qiang, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Xu Shousheng, governor of Hunan Province, met with these guests and attended the signing ceremony.
The HOFA has always been playing a role in enhancing links and friendly exchanges among societies and people in Hunan and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries. It has also served as a platform for overseas Chinese to participate in the scientific development of the province, Zhou remarked at the meeting. He also hoped that the new committee will continue to carry forward the fine tradition of the association so that more overseas friends are attracted to invest and prosper their businesses in Hunan and to realize the win-win results.
26 cooperation agreements were concluded between some overseas directors of the HOFA and representatives of cities, prefectures and enterprises in Hunan Province. The cooperation fields involve industrial manufacturing, food processing, catering, E-commerce and business hotels with the total investment reaching 32-plus billion yuan.
