Changsha Sets Agenda for New Year s 'Two Assistances and Two Supports' Move

On the afternoon of Jan.26, a meeting held in Changsha released the 100 projects (179 sub-projects) to be included in the 2011 Two Assistances and Two Supports move(to assist the development of enterprises, to assist the advancement of project construction, to support the improvement of people s livelihood and to support the economic growth).

There are 19 projects concerning infrastructure construction, 21 projects relating to people s livelihood and 60 industrial projects. They have attracted a total investment of 471.4 billion yuan, 113.1 billion yuan of which will be injected this year.

The year of 2011 will also witness the groundbreaking of the phase projects of Metro Line 3 and Metro Line 4 as well as the preparatory construction of Metro Line 5.

According to introduction, with a total length of 90 kilometers, the average cost of the three subway lines amounts to 595 million yuan and their total cost come to 53.55 billion yuan.

To well develop the two banks of the Xiangjiang River, the construction of Xiangjiang eco-economic belt (Changsha Section), flood control project (Changsha Section), Changsha Museum, Changsha Library and Changsha Concert Hall and areas along both banks of the river will continue.

Besides, the phrase of the north extension project of Xiangjiang Road, the north section of Xiangjiang Road spanning the Shahe River, the phase of the north extension project of Xiaoxiang Road and the south extension project of Xiaoxiang Road s landscape road will be initiated as well.

What s more, 31 community parks with a total investment of 105 million yuan will be completed this year.

And Lituo Bus Station which is being closely watched is scheduled to see its main room completed in 2011.
