According to the city s Meteorological Observatory, the Spring Festival holidays will be bleak and rainy as two cold fronts are expected to affect the weather in Dongguan between Friday (Feb.12) and next week.
A strong cold front is moving southward and is predicted to start to affect Dongguan tonight, bringing in thunderstorms and heavy rain. The minimum temperature will sharply drop to 10 on Friday, forecasting bleak and rainy days for this Spring Festival.
Under the continuous attack by two cold fronts around February 13 and February 16, people in Dongguan will experience rain and low temperatures.
The city s Meteorological Observatory remind citizens to pay special attention when driving cars during the holiday as rains and thick mists forecasted will result in poor visibility.
Weather forecast during Spring Festival holidays:
Feb. 12-13: 10 ~15 , damp and cold, moderate to heavy rain, low temperature
Feb. 14-15: 12 ~18 , mist and rains, cold front to abate while the temperature to rise slightly
Feb.16-17: 10 ~14 a second cold front to arrive with the temperature to drop again, damp and cold, moderate rain
Feb.18-19: overcast, cloudy, temperature to rebound slowly
