Taiwan-based firms increase investment in Dongguan

An economic and trade delegation led by Dongguan's mayor visited Taiwan-based firms during the "Taiwan-Guangdong Week" which was held from August 16 from Aug 22.

An economic and trade delegation led by Dongguan's mayor ended their trip to Taiwan on August 22, with a total of 3.13 billion yuan (US$450 million) of investment being reached between Dongguan and 18 Taiwan-based firms.

The delegation was in Taiwan to participate in a week-long economic activity called "Taiwan-Guangdong Week" which was held from August 16 from Aug 22. During the seven days, the delegation visited local firms and tried to persuade them to increase investment in Dongguan. A total of 3.13 billion (US$450 million) of investment was agreed to by the delegation and 18 Taiwan-based firms.

The delegation also placed US$6 billion worth of orders to Taiwan manufacturers during the Week.
