Dongguan is going to invest in excess of 3 million yuan to build up a popular science education base for China's Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) project in Dalang Township.
The education base with a construction area of 783 square meters is scheduled to start construction in September.
Last September, the SNS project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and formally settled in Dalang of Dongguan. After almost two years' preparation, everything is ready for commencement.
According to related personnel, the SNS after completion will become the fourth in the world. A research and development platform that allows for multi-disciplinary research at the same time will be concurrently built.
