A new cold front is expected to affect Dongguan from this evening (Feb. 10) with the minimum temperature expected to plunge to 9 degrees Celsius on Saturday (Feb. 12) morning. The temperature would start falling gradually tonight.
The weather would become cloudy as of Feb. 11 with sporadic rains and a dramatic drop in temperatures. The cold front influence would last until Feb. 15, Dongguan Meteorological Bureau said yesterday.
Dongguan experienced a sunny Spring Festival holiday in the past week. The temperature ranged between 16 and 26 degree Celsius yesterday. Mild haze appeared in the morning which resulted in poor visibility.
The weather remains dry with relative humidity between 71 and 26 percent. The meteorological observatory reminded residents to be aware of fire risks.
