On November 3rd, 2010, Deputy President Hu Zhengrong of CUC was invited by the Chinese Embassy to the UK to give a lecture entitled interpreting media, responding calmly, establishing image during his study tour in the UK. Nearly a hundred diplomats and other staff of Chinese Embassy attended the lecture.
Deputy President Hu Zhengrong introduced the changing history of western media, value system, operation law and trend of development to the diplomats of Chinese Embassy with humorous language, live video displaying plenty of vivid examples. He also explained how to make use of and excavate modern media means with large amounts of examples and presented the knowledge and techniques for diplomats to respond to media.
Deputy President Hu answered audience questions after his speech in a lively and warm atmosphere of discussion.
Before this lecture, Deputy President Hu had been invited by Chinese Embassy to the USA and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office of the Commissioner of Macau to give lectures on intercultural communication for diplomats.
