On May 9th, in a recently-released List for Top 20 of China s Software Export (Outsourcing), Insigma continues to hold 2nd place in the country s top list for software outsourcing and 4th place for software export, thanks to its outstanding achievement in these fields. This marks the fourth time that the firm holds 2nd place in China s software outsourcing, reflecting Insigma s steady growth and its leading role in China s software outsourcing industry. Meanwhile, on the Global IT Service Top 100 , and Asian Emerging Outsourcing Top 10 released not long ago, Insigma won similar honors.
The Top List was made public during the 2009 China (Shenyang) Software Export and Service Outsourcing Summit Meeting & 2008 China Software Export (Outsourcing) Top List Press Release, held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. Sponsored by China Software Industry Association and Shenyang Municipal People s Government and co-organized by China Software and Service Outsourcing Network, Shenyang Municipal Information Industry Bureau and Shenyang International Software Park, the conference was attended by top leading officials including Zhao Xiaofan, Software Service Industry Department of Industry and Informatization Ministry; Yang Yazhou, Deputy Mayor of Shenyang Municipal People s Government; He Xingui, Academician of China s Academy of Engineering, Chen Chong, Chair of China Software Industry Association; Hu Kunshan, Deputy Chair and Secretary-general of China Software Industry Association; Meng Xuming, Deputy Director of Liaoning Provincial Economic and Informatization Commission; and Zhang Zheng, deputy Head of Liaoning Provincial Service Industry Commission. These VIP guests also made important speeches and presentations at the conference. The occasion had altogether attracted an audience of 300 people from the software and service outsourcing industries and associations across China, news media reporters, and international business representatives from Europe, North America, Korea and Japan, and.
It is reported that the List for China s Top 20 Software Export and Outsourcing Business has been jointly launched by China Software and Service Outsourcing Network and China Import and Export Software Magazine, one of the first in China to pay attention to the country s software and service outsourcing industry. The current session is 5th of the annual release, which is widely regarded as the country s most authoritative ranking event in the field.
According to Mr. Xiao Yaping, Editor-in-chief of China Software and Service Outsourcing Network, the current Top 20 businesses have seen remarkable increases in total outsourcing value in 2008 against the previous years, amounting to a total of close to $1.1 billion USD, an average of $54.91 million USD for each company. The year 2008 s export value reaches $826 million USD, with an average $41.30 million USD for each enterprise. In terms of export value, there has been a 4.6 times growth against that of 2005 when the list was first released.
2008 marks an important stage in the company s efforts to build on its past success and achieve transformative development. Against the backdrop of adverse impacts on the real economy brought by international financial crisis, Insigma s overall business in software outsourcing has registered steady growth. In 2008, its new internalization strategy has scored a number of breakthroughs. The Company s USA branch was setup at the end of the year, signifying the formal beginning of its overseas market expansion.The company s major client strategy has also made impressive headway. It has completed its acquisition of Shanghai Wicresoft and become Microsoft s biggest software outsourcing supplier in China. On the basis of further expansion of cooperation with its former strategic clients STT and Microsoft, it has achieved vertical development in cooperation with former clients, and it has been among the first batch of companies in China to pass the ISO27001 Information Security Auditing. In terms of building of software outsourcing bases, the first phase of Hangzhou Software Outsourcing Demonstration Park has gone into operation, thus establishing initial integration of the company s outsourcing delivery bases in the three cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou; on the basis of stepping up training of outsourcing talents, the company s special training institutions have provided practical training courses for thousands and for this, it has won recognition and been awarded titles including Hangzhou National Electronic Information Industry Base Training Center and Hangzhou Service Outsourcing Training Center, etc.

Recently, Insigma has accomplished restructuring in its machine and electrical business and thus entered a new phase of professional development. In 2009, the company will continue the orientation of Computer X development and actively seek opportunities brought by the international financial storm, accelerate its pace in developing service outsourcing, and enhance investment in such areas as building of outsourcing bases, talents training projects, international accreditation, international brand upgrading projects, and international strategic cooperation.
