Committee Member Hui Ka Yan Participated in the Seminar for Members of the National Committee of CPPCC, and was Kindly Received by Chairman Jia Qinglin

On November 16 -19, the 6^th Session of 11^th Seminar for Members of National Committee of CPPCC for 4 days was held in Beijing. Professor Hui Ka Yan, Member of the National Committee of CPPCC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Evergrande Group, participated in the seminar, and was kindly received by Jia Qinglin, Member of Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC, Wang Gang, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice-chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC, Qian Yunlu, Vice-chairman and Secretary General of the National Committee of CPPCC, and other national leaders.

In the opening ceremony, Vice-chairman Wang Gang emphasized that CPPCC organizations at all levels and the members of CPPCC should gather the strength to promote the accomplishment of each task decided by the Plenary Session, and make greater contributions with efforts for the development of the Party and the State.

He hoped that the members of CPPCC could cherish the political honor, keep the honored mission in mind, perform their duties responsibly and diligently, and make great efforts to create new achievements. They should make the promoting social harmony as the important responsibility of duty performance, give full play to the special advantages of CPPCC to get the mass work well done, do more practical things that comply with the aspirations of the people, relieve the worries of the people and benefit the livelihood of the people, and widely gather the strength to maintain the social harmony and stability.

During the seminar, 251 members of the National Committee of CPPCC from 31 provinces and cities including Committee Member Hui Ka Yan had the centralized learning and discussion on the persistence and perfection of the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation led by the CPC as well as the basic requirements for the duty performance of CPPCC.

It is learned that while operating the enterprise well and providing the boutique residential buildings of high cost-effectiveness for the livelihood of the ordinary people in China, Committee Member Hui Ka Yan also actively perform the duty and mission of a member of National Committee of CPPCC to participate in the administration and deliberation of state affairs, and offer advices and suggestions.

During the NPC & CPPCC in March this year, as the only representative of Chinese entrepreneurs, Committee Member Hui Ka Yan made a speech titled Stimulate the Participation Enthusiasm of Enterprises and Promote the Development of Charities in the Great Hall of the People, attracting extensive attention at home and abroad.

Meanwhile, Committee Member Hui Ka Yan has been actively devoted to the development of charities, with practical actions to relieve the worries of the people, benefit the livelihood of the people and promote the harmony. Over the more than a decade, Evergrande Group led by Member Hui has donated about 600 million yuan for the charities, public welfare and environmental protection in China, and has been awarded the China Charity Prize issued by Ministry of Civil Affairs for three consecutive years.

Not long before, as the model of charitable participation of members of the National Committee of CPPCC, the charitable deeds of Member Hui were highly appreciated by the leaders and members of the National Committee of CPPCC in the first activity of Welldoing for the World Exhibition of Charitable & Public Service Deeds of Members of the National Committee of CPPCC .
