Invest Beijing International (IBI) successfully organized a Seminar on Environment Protection & Energy Efficiency on Aug. 22, 2006 in collaboration with Trade & Technology Center of Finland, Danish Chamber of Commerce in China and Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China.
The Seminar is aimed at enhancing communication between the government and enterprises in environment and energy, exchanging experience and technology in urban environment construction and promotion cooperation between Chinese and Nordic environment and energy enterprises. Chairman Tu Xingjian chaired the Seminar, relevant government officials, experts, and leaders of chamber of commerce were invited to attend and address the Seminar. Dozens of decision-makers of environment and energy companies from both China and Nordic countries presented their respective technologies, shared their experience and offered insights on the environment construction work of Beijing Municipality.
This Seminar, the first of its kind hosted by IBI, enhanced the understanding and recognition of domestic and foreign enterprises on the action plan, measures and construction projects of Beijing Municipal Government, promoted the exchanges and cooperation and provided valuable information and business opportunities for both Chinese and foreign environment firms.
IBI will continue to function as the bridge linking government to enterprise and the platform for communications between Chinese and foreign companies, and organize series of such events in the future.
