On September 6, 2009, the 10th Provincial Yu Ren Cup and the Second Technological Innovation Pacesetter Awarding ceremony is held at Shanxi Federation of Trade Union. Guo Hailiang, Chairman of Shanxi Federation of Trade Union, Liu Huiming, Vice-Director of Provincial Department of Education, Wang Xingwang and Liang Ruojie, Vice-Chairmen of Shanxi Federation of Trade Union are present at the ceremony.
Department of Safety Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering and Environment, NUC, is awarded Advanced Unit; Professor Zhang Jioong is awarded the 2rd Session Science and Technology Innovation Pacesetter; Su Tiexiong, Li Hong and Qiao Fengli are awarded the 10th Yuren Cup Advanced Individuals.
