Delegation From Teesside University Visits GDUFS

Oct. 30 - A delegation from Teesside University led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Caroline MacDonald,Assistant Dean Alan McNeilly, and Dr. Keith Brown, Director of International Development,visited GDUFS on October 27th. President Zhong Weihe, Vice President Liu Jianda, International Office Director Jiao Fangtai, MBA Center Executive Director Sun Jianjun, and Chen Linhan, Dean of International College met with the guests and introduced them to the University.

President Zhong shared about GDUFs' MBA program. He said that "the program is like a new born baby but is growing very fast." He also expressed his desire to work with Teesside University in the future. In the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two universities. After the meeting, the guests were given a tour of the campus including the MBA center, the Culture Square and the campus Library. Overall it was a pleasent and successful meeting!

Brief introduction of Teesside University:

Located in the heart of Middlesbrough, a northeast city of England, Teesside University is a public funded British university established in 1930, with a student population of 28,000. Teesside University is dynamic, energetic and innovative. It won the inUniversity of the Year 2009 - the first modern university to win the Times Higher award.The university has been ranked second place of all English universities by the Funding Council for attracting students from atypical addresses, and has won seven National Teaching Fellowships. It consists of six schools - School of Arts & Media, School of Computing, School of Health & Social Care, School of Science & Engineering, School of Social Sciences & Law, and Teesside University Business School.
