The 12th CUBA in south-east district was held at Shaoxing University during April 6th 16th. Participating as the champion of Zhejiang qualification, ZSTU women s basketball team won the third prize and was given Sportsmanship Award .
11 teams in south-east district participated. ZSTU ranked the third with 2:2 in the first phase; after severe competition in the second elimination game, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, East China University of Science and Technology and ZSTU ranked top three.
The team consisted of team manager Lou Lanping, coach Sun Xin and 8 players. Compared with other schools 12 members, there were less members in ZSTU, besides, 2 members among the 8 couldn t play on court because of the wound before game. In such a tough situation, the basketball girls tried their best. They made full preparation before the game and analyzed every rival carefully; after the game, they summed up experience and examined their own weakness. At last, they were awarded the 3rd prize despite all the disadvantages.
