China Logistics Higher Education Delegation Headed by SMU Vice President Huang Youfang visited US

China Logistics higher education delegation headed by Prof. Huang Youfang, SMU Vice President visited US in late October. The delegates were professors from, Beijing Jiaotong University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Shanghai Maritime University.

During their stay in US, they visited universities and enterprises including MIT, Georgia Institute of Technology, headquarters of UPS and CSX Corp. Prof. Huang and other delegate members described the status quo of higher education of China Logistics. They had extensive and thorough discussion on topics of higher education on Logistics, personnel training and collaboration between enterprises and universities.

During their communication, Prof. Huang introduced the related information of the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and international cooperative relations SMU had with industry. What he said brought great concern of US parties. Universities like MIT actively expressed their intention to cooperate with SMU in Logistics education of both undergraduate and graduate level.
