On November12th, Mr. Herv Ladsous, the French Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary to China, paid a short visit to Huazhong University of Science and Technology. HUST President Li Peigen met with the ambassador and his entourage.
President Li first extended his warm welcome to the ambassador, who made this special trip in spite of his busy schedule. He also expressed his thanks to the long-term support the French Embassy and the Consulate General of France in Wuhan have given to the communication and cooperation between French universities and HUST.
President Li introduced to visitors the basic conditions of the cooperation between HUST and French universities and research institutes. He particularly introduced in detail HUST s cooperation with France in the fields of energy, photoelectronics, life science and architecture. Mr. Ladsous praised the progress which had been made on the communication and cooperation between the two sides. The two sides were both filled with anticipation about the cooperative prospects, and also agreed to make joint efforts for a better future.
Mr. Ladsous and his entourage then visited Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics. The ambassador expressed a keen interest in the laboratory s scientific research domain and achievements.
The entourage included Michel Freym th French Consul General in Wuhan , Jacques Fleck Attach of Science and Technology , Elizabeth Attach of Education etc.
