Prof. Ding Mingyue and PhD student Zhang Ji from the School of Life Science and Technology attended SPIE Medical Imaging 2010 in San Diego, California, USA on 13-18 February 2010.
SPIE Medical Imaging is the premier conference in the medical imaging field. More than 2,000 people attended this year's conference.
Zhang Ji made a presentation of her paper entitled Replace-Approximation Method for Ambiguous Solutions in Factor Analysis of Ultrasonic Hepatic Perfusion. Her paper was advanced to the final round during the fierce competition and finally won the runner up of the Best Student Paper Award.
According to the review committee, Zhang Ji is the first Chinese college student ever to be granted such an honor.
