SDU Signed Agreement of Cooperation with Tel Aviv University

On May 18th, Prof. Aron Shai Executive Vice-president of Tel Aviv University visited SDU. Vice-president Zhang Yun met with Prof. Shai and both universities reached an agreement of cooperation.

In the meeting, Vice-president Zhang welcomed Prof. Shai and introduced the history, present situation, advanced disciplines and international cooperation of SDU. Prof. Shai expressed his wish that the two universities will cooperate in various fields, especially in East Asia studies and comparative study of Chinese-Israeli cultures. He also introduced medicine, stomatology, nanotechnology, Judaic studies, East Asia studies and affiliated hospitals of Tel Aviv University. The two universities exchanged ideas on financial support, students exchange, and visits of scholars and co-cultivation of graduate students. After the meeting the Agreement of Cooperation and Communication was signed according to which the two universities will strengthen cooperation in students and teachers exchange and scientific research. Prof. Fu Youde, Director of the Centre for Judaic and Inter-religious Studies attended the meeting.

Tel Aviv University was established in 1956. It is the largest university of Israel with 2,200 school staff, and 26,000 students and various disciplines.
