Delegation of CSIRO Visits ECUST

A delegation of 12 from Material Science and Engineering Branch Institution of Australian Commonwealth Science and Industry Research Organization paid an invited visit to ECUST on November 23^rd. President Qian Xuhong and Vice President Ma Yulu met the Australian guest delegation.

President Qian extended a warm welcome to the CSIRO delegation and introduced the ECUST attendees. Vice President Ma made a general introduction of ECUST to the guests. Professor Li Chunzhong, Liu Boping and Zhang Jinlong respectively reported their research work. As invited, the Australian visitors also made an introduction of their work on Nana research. They exchanged academic viewpoints on common interests. After the meeting, Australian experts took interest in visiting Material Museum, Material Test Platform and Processing Laboratory of ECUST.

At the end of this July, Dr. Geoff Garrett, the CEO of CSIRO and an academician of the Academy of Engineering, together with Dr. Jim Peacock, Australian Chief Scientist and an academician of the Academy of Science and Engineering, paid a visit to Shanghai, when Vice President Ma Yulu had reached a consensus with the chief functionaries of CSIRO on strengthening mutual communication and cooperation. And the visit from CSIRO this November proved a concrete step to promote mutual understanding.
