Aquino asks for slogan change

President Benigno Aquino III of the Philippines has ordered the Department of Tourism to come up with a better marketing slogan. The recent Pilipinas Kay Ganda (Philippines - What a Beauty) slogan has come in for a fair amount of criticism. Aquino has asked tourism secretary Alberto Lim to provide him with the entire blueprint for the tourism programme.
The president has also supported the announcement of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao to be the country s poster boy and promote Philippines tourism to the world, according to a report in eTurboNews.
