There are a lot of towering aged trees, huge stones and deep valleys in the Guangde Dongtian scenic Spot. There is a stone cave called “Bie Dong Tian”. It has been developed with a length of dozens of meters. Enter the mouth of the cave and it leads to the Guangde Temple. The temple was first built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. Some new stone caves have been developed and many towers and pavilions have been built near it in recent years. It’s a building with plaster walls and a tile roof. It is now divided into two halls and a parvis in the middle. The statues of Rulai Buddha, his four warriors and eighteen arhats are enshrined in it. There is a pure fountain in the temple. Clear water flows making a gurgling sound. Before the worshippers enter the temple and set their gifts before the gods, they must wash their hands and faces with it to show their devotion. People who live in or visit the temple can drink it too. On the right of the temple there is a huge rock. On the huge rock, there is another small temple enshrining a joss called Zhusheng Goddess. It’s said that she is in charge of giving new life to the world. On the left of the temple, there is a projecting huge stone, forming a cave called “Old Temple”. It’s nearly one hundred meters away from the temple. It can hold dozens of people. It’s the site of the Guangde Temple. Around the old temple and the new temple, there are a lot of bizarre stone. Under the stones, there are many caves which are crisscrossed, sinuous and bottomless. With spring flowing between stones, trees flourishing and birds singing, the Guangde Dongtian scenic Spot seems an earthly paradise.
