In terms of the eight branches, CPI for foodstuff increased 3.7 percent year-on-year in November. Of the total, price for grain was up by 4.7 percent, that for oil, poultry and its products, fresh eggs, aquatic products and fresh vegetables rose by 6.2, 7.6, 11.7, 2.7 and 4.2 percent. Price for tobacco, alcohol and daily articles jumped by 1.0 percent over the same period of the previous year. Of which, price for tobacco and alcohol rose 0.4 and 2.1 percent. Price for clothing was up by 0.1 percent year-on-year, of which, price for clothes remained the general level. Prices for household appliances and maintenance services rose by 1.8 percent. Of which, price for durable consumer goods rose by 1.8 percent and price for household services experienced an increase of 5.2 percent. Price for medical care and personal article increased 1.3 percent year-on-year. Of which, price for western medicines decreased 1.6 percent, that for traditional Chinese medicinal materials and medicines was up by 1.4 percent, that for medical care services shot up by 2.1 percent. Price for transportation and communication expanded 0.3 percent. Of which, price for vehicles dropped 2.4 percent, that for vehicles fuel and spares increased 12.1 percent, that for using and maintaining of the vehicles rose by 2.6 percent, that for intercity transportation rose by 6.1 percent, that for urban transportation increased 5.0 percent, that for telecommunication instrument fell 17.6 percent. Price for recreational, educational and cultural articles decreased 1.5 percent. Of which, tuition and cost on baby-care decreased 1.7 percent, that of education and recreation increased 3.0 percent; that of tourism was up by 2.5 percent; price of recreational articles dropped 0.5 percent. Price for residential article expanded 4.2 percent over the same period of the previous year. Of which, price for water, electricity and fuels rose by 3.2 percent, that for house construction and decoration materials shot up by 5.2 percent and that for house renting increased 4.1 percent. Accumulated CPI from January to November, consumer price index experienced a year-on-year increase of 1.3 percent. |
